Rainy morning, rowdy puppy

I think one of the best feelings is waking up to rain, something about it just makes you want to crawl under the covers and stay there all day. Now that would have been my morning if I didn't have a Bichon-poo (what!?!) making out with my ears from 5:30 AM on......Oh well so is the life of a puppy sitter.  Yes I did get up and yes I took the ear casanova out in pouring rain, in a robe, fluffy, definitely not rain appropriate slippers and no contacts of glasses - oh what a sight (no pun intended). I came in, fed the zoo and started on breakfast.

I cooked up  three-egg whites with a little onion powder (sorry Kath!) and had them on some toasted multi-grain bread. I was so hungry I gobbled half up before remembering I am now photographing my food - really gotta find that digital camera grrr!

So any nurses out there? I am starting clinical's in the fall and have been reading, copying diagnostic cards and trying to prepare. Krelly's sister is in the same program I am and she has been so great helping me get everything together for this upcoming semester. I am a little nervous because last thing I want to do is hurt a patient, I know our instructors will be watching us like hawks but no one that wants to receive a shot so kind of going to be a bummer having to do things to people that make them a little uncomfortable. Guess that is just the name of the game though!

Any nursing students out there who have any advice?

I had a packet of Quaker Oats maple brown sugar flavor in a mug (for some reason I usually have snack oats in mug but breakfast oats in a bowl) I usually don't like the packets but had to do with what is around. I am staying at my Grandma's house for the next few days doggy/cat sitting for her. Here are the cuties:

Hi everyone out there in blog land!
Obviously by the title this is my very first post - how exciting. I have been reading healthy lifestyle blogs for a while and thought that I could write one from a different perspective. I am a nursing student as well as a person who strives for balance in maintaing a healthy life.
